    Outdoor Furniture

One of the wonderful things about summer weather is that it lets you expand your living space without a costly home renovation or addition. You might just consider moving a comfortable chair or two or dining table outside to a protected area. You can add cool, new outdoor rugs, lamps and electronics to really make it an outdoor living area. Next fall, add a heater or chiminea to continue the fun.

Feng Shui Tip of The Month

    Feng Shui Outdoors

While many have experienced the benefits of Feng Shui inside their homes and offices, taking it outdoors is a whole new option. Feng Shui balances the five natural elements of water, wood, fire, earth and metal. Fountains, ponds and birdbaths are a great way to introduce water into your garden. Metal can be incorporated as garden ornaments or wind chimes. To restore earth in your garden, make sure some soil is visible by not overcrowding your beds. A wood bench will introduce the wood element. Fire is achieved by having a barbecue, chiminea, outdoor fireplace or torches. Cut back overgrown trees and hedges, store lawn equipment and tools out of sight and keep your plantings vibrant and healthy. There you have it, a well balanced back yard.
