With summer here, I finally got to take a break. Two of my childhood friends, Kim and Gina, planned a surprise trip to the beautiful Rocky Mountains for my birthday . It was an awesome vacation and I absolutely loved the the places we stayed: Vail, Glenwood Springs and Broomfield Colorado.... If you haven't been to Colorado... it is a trip that is definitely worth taking....

A huge thanks and lots of love to Kim and Gina. What a wonderful way to spend my birthday! Thanks again, you two rock!

Now it is back to work!

"I do...and now that couch has got to go!"

Along with wedding bells, June brings the challenge of merging home and decor into one household. Here are some tips into making a smooth transition into one unified look.

    • Make a list: Identify each person's three must haves, and make decisions from there.
    • Use pieces for different purposes. No room in the bedroom for that dresser? Instead, use it as a dining room piece.
    • Combine styles by using the perfect accessories and accent pieces.
    • Make space for two. Decide what you can and can't live without in your new home.
    • To save space and prevent clutter, display only your favorite pieces from a collection, while storing away the others.
    • Paint walls, sort accessories or make a common theme with pillows, frames or accent colors to tie rooms and different styles together.

Feng Shui Tip of The Month

Feng Shui your way to a happy marriage.

In the spirit of wedding season, here are a few feng shui tips to having a healthy and happy relationship.

    • To stimulate activity and excitement, hang three pictures in a triangle in your bedroom.
    • To promote growth within the relationship, use rectangular wooden frames for your pictures.
    • To prevent stagnation and encourage spontaneity, rearrange objects on your dresser.
    • To stimulate passion, burn two red candles in your bedroom. For affection, burn two pink candles.
    • To promote harmony and encourage new possibilities, hang a circular mirror that reflects your bed or an object signifying love or partnership.
