Straight from Brussels, here is the latest news in
interior design trends from the trade shows of Europe.
- The latest trend is neutral and light with an
emphasis on comfort, mixing modern and classic
design.
- Also look for items that represent "glossy-
glitzy", "classy"' ,"purity" and "fun".
- The kitchen and bathroom take prominence in
design elements while integrating living, dining, work
and bedrooms.
- Mono colors of red are very popular for linen,
fabrics and upholstery.
- Straight out of Italy, mustard-green is the must
have color of the season.
- Germany is boasting bronze tones with red and
mustard-green accents.
- Woods are dark or white-washed oak with
brushed aluminum hardware.
- Bright colors are accents for neutral
backgrounds.
- Contrast floor coverings with combinations of
concrete and soft carpet, or tile and hardwood
floors.
